The second night of the 2014 Aodh McElhinney Memorial Minor Cup Div. 1/Div. 2 took place on Friday night 14th. November in the Oak Tree Centre, Killygordon, and produced an excellent night of very competitive badminton with a nail-biting climax as Three Rivers B. took the title by just 18 aces on the head to head match after drawing with Three Rivers C. on 22 pts. each.
After the first round of the competition on Friday night 24th. Oct. , 3 Rivers A. were in the lead on 11 pts., 3 Rivers B. and 3 Rivers C. were tied on 10 pts. each followed by Aura/Ballintra and Three Rivers D.
In the early matches on Friday night 14th. Nov. 3 Rivers A. went down 2/6 to Three Rivers B. and Three Rivers A. were narrowly beaten again 5/3 in a very tough encounter with Three Rivers D. Three Rivers B. secured a 6/2 win over Aura/Ballintra and concluded the Div. 1 competition on 22 pts.
Three Rivers C, on 15 pts., required a maximum 8 points in their last match in Div. 1. Tournament to lift the cup, however they came up a little short with a 7/1 win over 3 Rivers D. as Nigel Patterson and Kristin Warke took 1 point of Jack Macbeth and Aaron Knox.
Three Rivers C. now also had 22 pts. and tied with Three Rivers B. on 22 pts. so in the head to head match referred to: 3 Rivers B. V 3 Rivers C. had a 4 pts. each result, 3 Rivers B. had won that match by just 18 aces and so won the Dv. 1. Cup.

Runner up: Three Rivers C.: Shannon Russell, Emma Gallagher (Leah Magee, sub.) Jack Macbeth, Aaron Knox, (Andrew Knox sub.)
3rd. place: Three Rivers A.: Maxine McCreary, Diane Gallagher, John Hunter and Aaron Wiley.

Aura/Ballintra: June Nelson, Breda McNulty, William and Arthur Corscadden, won the Dv. 2. Title 5/3 in the final holding off a very strong challenge from 3 Rivers D.: Linda Patterson, Rhonda Russell, Nigel Patterson and Kristin Warke.
