Feely retains his Streets of Ballyshannon 5k title
Liam Feely of North Leitrim A.C retained his Streets of Ballyshannin 5k title with a very impressive time of 16.11 on what was a cold day for running and the long drawn uphill finish for the last kilometre took its toll on most athletes.

Liam Feely of North Leitrim A.C retained his Streets of Ballyshannin 5k title with a very impressive time of 16.11 on what was a cold day for running and the long drawn uphill finish for the last kilometre took its toll on most athletes.

Second place overall in a time of 17.02 and First Lady home was the very talented local Kinlough athlete Breege Connolly who runs with the North Belfast AC.

Derek Summerville from Omagh running in the Over 45 age group was 3rd in a time of 17.42

Quite a number of athletes were competing in their first 5k so they now have an official time for 5k and which they should strive to improve upon in other 5ks in the region thorough out the year.

The local Rugby club and Organisers of the Streets of Ballyshannon 5k , wish to thank most sincerely all those who took part in the event , and hope they had an enjoyable day.

The Club greatly appreciate the help it received from the numerous volunteers who helped on the the day, to the Lakeside for the use of its impressive facilities and lastly but not least to the many people and businesses who helped provided most generous sponsorship.

Between runners and walkers just over 200 took part.
