Youth Success in Kanturk

The club’s youth riders had to travel far at the weekend to compete in one of Ireland’s top youth events; the Kanturk 3 Day event down in Cork. Despite the inevitable tiredness associated with travelling such a distance the young ones from Errigal once again competed fantastically well.

The event consisted of three stages; a Road Race, Time Trial and final day Criterium and at the end of it all in the U12 Category Cathal Gallagher, Odhran Doogan and Amanda Gallagher finished 5th, 6th and 7th overall whilst Odhran won the U11 Category outright and Amanda was first U12 girl.

In the U14 Category Ciara Doogan won the Road Race (Stage 1) and finished 2nd overall whilst PJ Doogan, Conor Halvey and Michael McGlynn finished 3rd, 4th and 9th overall.
