All roads lead to Lifford this Sunday 16th February for the final race in the Dalys XL Spring 5K Series organised by Lifford Athletic Club.
The series has already seen two bumper races held in St Johnston and Raphoe with huge crowds of over 350 taking part in each event. Both events to date have seen some excellent individual running, while also providing a relaxed and family friendly environment for the jogger or walker. Another huge crowd is expected in Lifford for the Grand Finale on Sunday, the biggest race ever held in the town. Letterkenny AC’s Pauric Breslin and Lifford AC’s Claire McGuigan are in pole position to take the overall perpetual awards for the Series winners, while there will be exciting battles for placings across the eight different race categories from junior through to senior and masters.
As with each of the two previous races, there will be spot prizes galore to ensure everyone is in with a chance of winning, while for those athletes taking part in their third of three races, a specially designed technical t shirt will be presented.
Chip Timing will be in use again this Sunday. Whether participants are running, jogging or walking, they are welcome and advised to pre enter their details on liffordac.com before Friday at 10pm. Registrations will also be taken on race morning. Registration desks will be open between 8.45am and 10am, with the race itself due to start at 10.30am sharp.
