On Saturday Donegal Bay Cycling Club held their first open race, The ‘Donegal Bay Kermesse’ sponsored by Ted’s Bike Shop and KOH .
The name coming from Belgian style racing, a short circuit with numerous laps. The village of Mountcharles provided the perfect location.
The day kicked off with the A4 race at 10am. On the third ascent of the climb, Kieran Mulligan of the host club opened a gap of 20 seconds. On the fourth lap he was joined by Charlie Gallagher of Errigal CC.
