Laura Gallagher, sister of All-Star Neil Gallagher, will be donning the Glenswilly colours in 2016 as Glenswilly will field a ladies team.
Laura (pictured) who plays in goal for Donegal, has been playing with neighbours, Termon, in recent years and enjoyed great success, including an All-Ireland club titole.
She was honoured at last weekend's Termon presentation night as she bade farewell to return to Glenswilly.
In a tribute, the Termon club posted: "Laura probably never got that national recognition and praise she deserved for the wonderful success she helped bring to her adopted club, but for those of us lucky enough to see her in action, whether in Donegal, Ulster or elsewhere in Ireland, know she is the best. Her worth to the team was incalculable and Termon would most likely never have become All Ireland champions without her courage, coolness and brilliance between the posts. How often in the tight tough days, she saved the day.
"Off the field she will be equally missed, easy to work with, polite, always friendly and a smile that could light up the wettest darkest field in the land, it often did.
"Termon’s loss is Glenswilly’s gain and I hope the young team she returns to appreciate the legend that she is, I hope as well that they listen, learn and gain from the invaluable experience that the only best can bring.
"We wish Laura and our neighbours Glenswilly Ladies much success in the future and remind her that whatever great memories she takes with her from Termon GAA, they will barely compare with the great memories she left behind."
