Jonathan Pringle and Alan Keena from Cavan claimed the laurels at the end of the Clanree Hotel, Donegal Mini-Stages Rally, on Saturday evening.oois
The Cavan pair, in an Escort, had 16 seconds to spare over the Monaghan crew of Ryan Loughran and James Carville in a Mark 11 Escort. Joseph McGonigle and Ciaran Geaney, in a Skoda Fabia WRC, were the first of the Donegal crews to take to the ramp in third place.
And they were followed in fourth place by another local crew in Brian Brogan - the Donegal Motor Club chairman - and Damien McGettigan, in another Escort.
The six stage event was reduced to five stages following communication difficulties on the very first stage.
Damien Gallagher and Brendan McElhinney, in an Escort, had a very good rally and finished in fifth place with Camilus Bradley and Crawford Henderson from Derry just one place further back in sixth spot.
National Rally champion Donagh Kelly, who swapped his Fiesta WRC for a Mark 1 Escort, had his son, Eamon, calling the notes won Class 12.
Other class winners were Ruairi McCafferty, Callum Devine, Aidan Wray, Joseph McGonigle, Shane Carr, Alan Smyth, Christy Gallagher, John Bonner, Andrew Stewart, Mark Murphy, Harry Breen and Anthony Cairns.
The Rally was run over two classic Donegal stages, Glenmaquin and Dooish.
