Donegal County Council backs push for 2023 Rugby World Cup in ireland

Donegal County Council has added their support to Ireland's bid to host the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
Sinn Féin councillor, Jack Murray tabled a motion at today's monthly meeting of the council urging the council to lend their support to the Irish bid.

He welcomed the inclusion of Celtic Park in Derry in the list of host stadia and commended the unanimous decision by the Derry City and Strabane District Council to support the bid.
His proposal was seconded by Cllr. Murray's party colleague, Cllr. Albert Doherty.
Director of Services, Liam Ward said that everyone would be delighted to see such an event take place.
