Just some things you will find of interest in this week's Donegal Democrat

There is a lot to catch your interest in tomorrow (Thursday’s) edition of the Donegal Democrat.

We take a look at the possible “winter of discontent” with strikes by both the Gardai and secondary teachers a strong possibility. We look at the potential effects and impact  on you, the people of Donegal.

Monday will see an invasion of Donegal Town by members of the Defence Forces prior to their departure on UN duty.

On a lighter side we will bring you news of Magee of Donegal 150th birthday celebrations, the stories behind the Golden Anniversary of Irish Surfing and Families First Awards  as well as Paralympian Katie George Dunlevy’s visit to Aras an Uachtarain where she was honoured by President Michael D. Higgins.

As usual we will be bringing you complete and comprehensive sports coverage from around the county.

If that isn’t enough to while away the dark evenings we will be including our 16-page Motor Guide free of charge with an  interview with Harvest Rally winner Declan Boyle.

On your shelves first thing on Thursday morning.
