Waterworld Bundoran is a winner yet again, having been awarded the 2012 White Flag Excellence Award as well as the Training Ethos Category Award by ILAM.
Launched in 2001, the ILAM White Flag Excellence Programme is an independently audited award, recognised throughout the Leisure Industry, endorsed by Fáilte Ireland and the Irish Hotels Federation.
In addition to White Flag Excellence, two specialist category awards are presented annually, the Disability Provision and the Training Ethos Awards. These specialist awards have been very successful and allow leisure facilities to develop and specialise in specific areas of their business, further developing the quality of the facilities.
Waterworld Bundoran recently received the Gold Standard award at a gala dinner at the Killenard Golf and Spa Report. Only 21 facilities in Ireland achieved the Gold Standard this year. This mark of excellence ensures that the facility management have been independently assessed in the three key areas of safety, hygiene and customer service.
Waterworld also received the Training Ethos Category Award, having come close on four previous occasions. This award, an indication of excellence in the operation of the Waterworld and Seaweed Bath facility, was presented by ILAM President Barry Walsh President.
