Last weekend, a Donegal town man and his 11-year-old daughter decided to take part in a rather novel event by “tweeting” their way up the highest mountain in Donegal.

Conor Daly told the Donegal Democrat that his family are very active walkers, so he and his daughter Katie set out to climb Errigal, at 2,464 feet (751 meters), Donegal’s highest peak.

“The weather was perfect and the stunning views of Donegal just got better and better as we climbed,” Conor said.

The Highest Tweet-Up charity climb raises funds for the Mark Pollock Trust and the Little Angels School in Letterkenny.
