Three arrested after Bundoran alleged stabbing incident

Gardaí have arrested three men following an incident in Bundoran last night in which a 25 year old man appears to have been stabbed.

Garda Supt. Leo McGinn told the Donegal Democrat this morning: “Gardaí were called at around 7pm to deal with a public order incident involving approximately six people at Ross Road, Bundoran.

“A 25-year-old man was suffering from what appeared to be two stab wounds, one to his shoulder and one to his back. His injuries are thought to be serious but not life-threatening and he was taken by ambulance to Sligo General Hospital.”

Three men, aged 19, 22 and 56 were arrested at the scene in relation to the alleged stabbing and other public order offences.

Gardaí at Ballyshannon are continuing their investigations and a file will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
