There was great shock and sadness in the Dunfanaghy area on hearing of the sudden death of Andrew Montgomery last Sunday night.

Mr. Montgomery from Green Hill was well-known in the area for his work as a barman in Arnolds Hotel. He also worked as a farmer and volunteered in local community groups including the annual Harvest Fair.

A very well regarded and hard working man in his early 30’s, he was well-known to locals and visitors alike from his employment in various local hostelries in recent years.

His funeral will leave his home in Green Hill at 1.30pm today (Thursday) for funeral service at 2 o’clock in Holy Trinity Church, Hornhead Road, Dunfanaghy, followed by burial afterwards in Clondahorkey cemetery.
