Single vehicle collision in Donegal town

Gardaí, ambulance and the fire service were called to the scene of a single vehicle collision at Tawnalarry, just south of Donegal town shortly after 11am this morning.

Sgt. Iggy Larkin of the Traffic Corp confirmed that a car crashed through a fence at a wide bend on the Donegal town to Ballyshannon road.

One person, a female, was taken from the crash by ambulance to Letterkenny General Hospital. Sgt. Larkin said her injuries “are not thought to be serious”.

The road remained open throughout the incident.
