Sharp eyed gardaí foil Letterkenny quad theft

Sharp eyed Gardaí in Letterkenny arrested two men red handed taking a valuable quad from a local shop on the Port Road.

At 11am two men were observed driving a quad by a garda mobile patrol on the town’s Port Road.

The gardaí observed the men drive the quad into a lane way close to the Letterkenny Snooker club and as the gardaí approached the quad was being loaded into a van.

The gardaí took possession of the quad and subsequent enquiries confirmed that the quad had been stolen from Gary’s Cycles on the Port Road on St. Stephen’s morning.

“It was very good work by the two gardaí,” Supt. Vincent O’Brien told www.donegaldemocrat.com

The quad is estimated to be worth more than 4,000 euro.
