An 85-year-old Churchill woman who has seen her home help cut by 70 percent said on Friday that seeing people lose necessary home-help assistance “just saddens me to the heart”.

The woman spoke at a rally in Letterkenny’s Market Square, before a crowd of about 170 people who had marched from St. Conal’s to protest Health Service Executive cuts to home help. The march and rally were sponsored by the unions Impact, Siptu and INMO.
