Pensioner’s handbag stolen in burglary
Gardaí in Donegal Town are seeking information from the public following an incident in which a handbag was taken from a pensioner during a burglary.
A garda spokesperson told the Donegal Democrat that a man gained access to the woman’s home at The Heeney’s at around 10.30am on Sunday. It is understood that he said he was there to check the water.
He made off with a handbag containing a small sum of money.
A small white van was seen in the area at the time and gardaí are asking anyone with information, or who many have seen anything suspicious, to contact them at Donegal Town Garda Station on 074 972 1021.
