Nearly 10,000 German tourists to visit Donegal next year
A Donegal-based hotel group has confirmed that nearly 10,000 German tourists will visit the county next year.
Eamonn Gillespie, manager of the Central Hotel in Donegal town, said 9,760 Germans will each spend two nights in Donegal town as part of ‘The Grand Tour of Ireland’. They will stay at either the Abbey or the Central Hotel, both of which are owned by the White Group.
The group is also targeting the UK tourism market and is currently hosting 250 top tour operators and journalists on a two day familiarisation trip in Donegal.
