Murdered pensioner’s family unhappy with probe progress
Relatives of a Churchill pensioner found murdered in his home eight months ago have expressed their frustration and disappointment at the rate of progress being made in the garda investigation into his death.
Seamus Doherty’s body was discovered in the early hours of Sunday, June 17th in the bathroom of the family home at Drumacanoo, Churchill.
According to gardai, the 67 year old had suffered a “traumatic death”.
A family representative, speaking non behalf of the deceased’s brothers and sisters, said: “We are determined to uncover the truth and establish on the record exactly how Seamus met such a terrible death and who was responsible for it.”
