Man denies Carndonagh assault

A Carndonagh man has gone on trial at Letterkenny Circuit Court charged with assaulting and causing harm to a man in a bar in the town two years ago.

Aaron Doherty (20) of Trenbane, Carndonagh denies assaulting Michael Curley on August 14th, 2010 at Tully’s Bar, Carndonagh.

The court heard that Mr Curely received 30 stitches to his face after he was struck with a glass.

The trial began on Thursday and is expected to last until Friday.
