Kilmacrennan break-in: 20-year-old freed on bail

A 20-year-old man charged in connection with a break-in at the house of an elderly woman in Kilmacrennan has been freed on bail.
Matthew Lafferty of Ballykeeran, Kilmacrenan appeared at Letterkenny District Court on Monday.
Lafferty had appeared at Sligo District Court on Saturday charged with breaking and entering and causing criminal damage in Kilmacrennan last Friday morning.
Under bail conditions Lafferty was ordered to sign on once a day at Milford Garda Station, observe a curfew from 10pm to 8am, remain sober, surrender his passport and give his mobile number to gardaí.
The court heard that a file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions in the case.
Lafferty was remanded on his own bond of 250 euro to appear before Letterkenny District Court on March 11th.
