The revived Harvest Fiar Festival weekend in Ballyshannon proved a great success over the weekend with a plethora events organised by the hard working committee headed up by Mai Kelly.

Mai told us she was delighted with the weekend and thanked all those who helped in any way with the various events.

“Events like this do not happen by themselves. I would like to thank each and everyone for all their help - they know who they are - without them it could not have happened.

“We all now look forward to the next big event in the town - the live screening at the Gables of the All Ireland on our 15 metre screen and hopefully some great celebrations afterwards,” she said.

Congratulations are extended to the beautiful Amanda Mahon who was crowned Harvest Fair Queen, succeeding last year’s winner, Clodagh Roper.

Clodagh, who heads off to Europe shortly on another stint on the professional dance stage, said she enjoyed the year.
