Gardaí in Ballyshannon have issued a new appeal for information following the aggravated burglary at the home of Phyllis McGee on Saturday, January 12.

Three men broke into her house at Belault, assaulted the 78-year-old

Supt. Leo McGinn told the Donegal Democrat/People’s Press: “We know that the incident occurred around 10.10pm and that the thieves headed in the direction of Pettigo when they left.

“We also know that at least two cars used that, between from Tower to Belault and on to Pettigo, between 10 and 10.30pm. We are asking the occupants to contact us, at Ballyshannon on 071 985 8530, any garda station, or the confidential Garda Line on 1800 666 111. They may have information that can help our investigations but, if they don’t, we would still like to hear from them to eliminate them from our enquiries.
