Gardaí have appealed to the public for information following an attack on a man in Bundoran.

Garda Supt. Leo McGinn said that a 20-year-old man was accosted by two men, believed to be visitors to the town, as he was walking along the cliff-top path at the West End of Bundoran on Wednesday afternoon at 3pm.

In what Supt. McGinn branded a “cowardly” attack, he was threatened, viciously assaulted and made to hand over his wallet, which contained just under €200.

Both of the men are described as being around 6 foot tall. One has black hair and was wearing a brown hoodie The other had light-brown hair and was wearing a black jacket.
