Alzheimers Tea Day: In the recent Alzheimers Tea Day which was held in the Gaoth Dobhair Day Care Centre, the sum of 700 euro was raised.

Sincere thanks to everyone who supported the event and also everyone who helped in any way.

Died in Glasgow: The death occurred at the Victoria Infirmary, Glasgow on Monday May 10th of Andy McGeady. Aged 88 years, he was originally from Brinaleck and was affectionately and better known locally as Andy Rua. He is survived by his wife, Teresa, sons, John, Hugh, and Gerry and two daughters, Anne and Frances, grand children, in laws, family circle, relatives and friends, to all of whom deep sympathy is extended. His funeral mass was celebrated in St. Brigid's RC Church, Toryglen, last week and were afterwards transferred to his native Gaoth Dobhair for waking at his Brinaleck home. There was a big turnout at the home coming of remains, wake and funeral, an indication of the high esteem in which the deceased and family are held. He was interred in Cnoc Fola cemetery following Requiem Mass in St. Colmcille Church, Cnoc Fola.

Cnoc Fola Bingo: At last Sunday night bingo in Ionad Pobail Chnoc Fola the following won 100 euro each: Frances Meehan, Meencarrick, Tony Cannon, Magheraroarty, Mary Rose Boyle, Falcarragh, Brd McGeady, Glasserchoo and Brd McGee, Meenlaragh.
