Fatal accident at Dooish, Ballybofey this morning

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision this morning, January 1st, on the Ballybofey to Fintown road (R252) at Dooish.

At approximately 8.50am a male in his 40s was seriously injured when the car he was driving collided with a wall. He was taken by ambulance to Letterkenny Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The road is closed pending the arrival of forensic collision investigators and diversions are in place.
