Donegal student wins film competition for The Gathering

Donegal girl Bebhinn Naughton pictured with her parents and brother Odhran after winning the Best Short Film Award in Dublin on Thursday night.

Bebhinn, a student at the Abbey Vocational School made the film which featured Donegal Town and it’s environs for a competition organised for “The Gathering”

The short film, “Hearts Like Mountains” features some of the best scenery in Donegal and captures the warmth of our people and includes cameo appearances by Karl Lacey, Mickey Joe Harte and Noel Cunningham.

Her win is a major achievement against stiff competition in an event which was hotely contested byt students across the country.
