Donegal man denies indecent assault charges

A Donegal man has gone on trial charged with indecently assaulting a male more than 30 years ago.

Hugh McDaniel (55), known locally as Jock, 40 Abbotswood, Carndonagh, pleaded not guilty on Tuesday at Letterkenny Circuit Court to five counts of indecently assaulting a male in the Carndonagh area between June and November 1979.

The trial is expected to last between two and three days.
