The Donegal Diaspora website

The Donegal Diaspora website

A new website aimed at reaching out to all of Donegal’s emigrants worldwide is being launched today.

Mayor Frank McBrearty will officially launch www.donegaldiaspora.ie at 2pm in the Regional Cultural Centre Letterkenny.

The website has been developed by Donegal County Council as part of its overall Donegal Diaspora project, which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Speaking before the launch, Aideen Doherty, DCC Community & Enterprise Development Officer said: “The aim of the website is to re-connect with all those who left Donegal over the years and to stay connected with those who have left the county more recently as well. Anyone with in an interest in Donegal is also very welcome to avail of the website and to contact us with their stories.”
