Daniel and Majella all set for a trip along the Donegal shores on the Donegal Bay Waterbus on June, 27 where the couple will host "High tea on the high seas." 0706MVBritton1 Daniel and Majella.

Daniel O’Donnell, a man more used to performing on luxurious cruise liners in exotic places such as the Caribbean, has never forgotten his roots and later this month will get a great opportunity to experience his own Donegal shores when he takes to the sea on Donegal Bay with his wife Majella.

Well known for encouraging new talent, Daniel and Majella will be joining the guests on the Donegal Bay Waterbus in Donegal Town on Wednesday, June 27th in a fundraising trip for the Donegal Community Band.

The Community Band was founded back in September 2009 after an absence of over 12 years filling the musical void in the Eskeside town.

The band has now a huge membership which is evergrowing and is constantly in need of funds to meet the constant demands which include their attractive new uniforms, new instruments and costs of travel to the various venues where the band both competes and performs.

Daniel and Majella will host a ‘High tea on the High seas’ on Wednesday 27th on the Waterbus which will depart from the Quayside in Donegal Town at 2.30 pm sharp for a music-filled cruise down Donegal Bay.

Apart from the musical element, the cruise takes in all the scenic and historic attractions of the bay and pays a visit to the seal sanctuary and with a bit of luck, encounter some of the playful dolphins that have been visiting the bay on a regular basis.

A limited number of tickets for this once off and very special sailing will go on sale next Saturday at the Waterbus office on Donegal Pier at 2pm on a first come first served basis and intending guests are advised to arrive early as it is expected that there will be an extremely strong demand. Tickets are priced at €35 per person.

There is also strong speculation that Daniel and Majella might take the opportunity to declare the new jetty for the Waterbus which is nearing completion, officially open during their visit.
