Council to seek clarification

Donegal County Council has received notification from the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government in relation to a proposed adjustment to the Local Government Fund for 2012.

The Council will be seeking clarification as a matter of priority in relation to a number of aspects of the proposed adjustment to the Fund in 2012. When the clarifications are provided and assessed the full implications will be reported to the elected members for consideration in the first instance. In the circumstances and pending receipt and consideration of the issues on which clarifications are being sought the Council is not in a position to comment further on this matter.
