Complaint against Balor DCA settled

An Employment Tribunal hearing in which a former project coordinator at the Balor Developmental Community Arts Group (DCA) was alleging constructive dismissal has been settled.

The former employee, Lisa Finn (40), who is from Ballybofey, had told the Tribunal in October that she had to take anti-depressants after a series of rows with her bosses.

She said she had been left feeling humiliated and devastated in her dealings with one board member, who subsequently resigned.

The hearing was due to resume yesterday but did not go ahead.

A spokesperson for the Balor DCA Board of Directors told the Donegal Democrat: “The case has been settled with no liability to the company.”

A press officer at the Employment Appeals Tribunal said: “The case has been withdrawn by the complainant, with liberty to re-enter.”
