Collision near Donegal Town

An elderly man is in a stable condition in Sligo General Hospital after a two vehicle collision yesterday morning on the main Donegal Town to Killybegs Road.

The accident occurred at approximately 10.45am on a busy stretch of the road adjacent to the Texaco Service Station just outside Donegal Town.

The emergency services including the garda, fire and ambulance services were promptly on the scene and one man was removed to Sligo General Hospital by ambulance.

A spokesperson for Sligo General Hospital confirmed that the injured man was in a stable condition and was under constant observation.
