‘Change Nation’ to dominate today at MacGill
The final day of the MacGill Summer School begins at 11.00am with a fifteen minute talk, “Change the Nation”, from Paul O’ Hara, Director, Ashoka Europe and Founder, Change Nation. Change Nation will host a talk later tomorrow at 2.30pm on Skills for a 21st Century Ireland as Marc Freedman, founder/CEO of Civic Ventures (USA) explores the correlation and relationship between the education system and the various sectors which are in need of skilled workers. Moderated by Anne Connolly, CEO, The Ageingwell Network, the talk’s panel includes: Mark Ryan, Country Managing Director, Accenture; James Whelton, Founder, CoderDojo and John Concannon, Director of Market Development for Fáilte Ireland.
The final talk of the week looks toward the next generation of Ireland, their protection and what we must do now to provide the bright future they deserve.
Speakers on the topic are: Norah Gibbons, Director of Advocacy, Barnardos; Fr. Peter McVerry SJ and Frances Fitzgerald TD, Minister for Children and Youth Affairs. The talk will be moderated by Carl O’ Brien, Irish Times
