Celebrating a decade with the Mill Park!
It's hard to believe that the Mill Park in Donegal Town is now open ten years. Tony McDermott, his family and staff put on a great show last Friday night to celebrate this milestone.
Over 200 guests were invited to the affair and what an affair it was. A champagne reception was followed by a spectacular buffet and complimentary wine. Amongst the party where guests that have been staying at the hotel since it opened and staff members who have also been there since the opening.
The Mill Park Hotel has gone from strength to strength over the decade, originally opened. What was a 40-bedroom hotel that could hold a function for 200 people is now a 110-bedroom hotel with 10 self-catering apartments and can hold functions for up to 350. But as Tony told me Friday last “A building is only a building, it’s the staff that make this place what it is, our number one compliment is how friendly all our staff are”.
Recognised as one of the leading hotels in the North West and known as a premier wedding venue, it offers the perfect setting for your special day and is truly a romantic setting.
This year has been a great year for the Mill Park as it was ranked as the top hotel in Ireland, 5th in Europe and 20th in the world on Expedia Insiders Select List. The list formally recognises individual hotels worldwide that consistently deliver excellent service, a great overall experience and notable value. The Expedia Insiders Select is complied based on more than one million Travels Opinions hotel reviews collected by Expedia, combined with a value rating and local market expertise of more that 400 Expedia employees in local markets and worldwide.
The bubbly Claire McDermott said a few words thanking everyone for the last 10 years and look forward to the next ten!.
