Better service plea for diabetic children

A Donegal mother who must take her diabetic daughter to a Dublin hospital at least four times a year has called for an increase in diabetic services in the county to treat the 138 children who suffer from the disease in Donegal.

Sally McCafferty and her 11-year-old daughter Roisín Gallagher make the trip to Dublin from their Gaoth Dobhair home to attend the insulin pump service at Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin.
