Donegal Mountain Rescue, Friends of Letterkenny Hospital and SNAP (Special Needs Accessible Playpark) are the three groups who will benefit from this year’s North West 10K Charity Race and Walk, which takes place in Letterkenny on Sunday, May 5th, at 2pm.

Announcing details of the 17th staging of what has become the biggest mass participation event in the region, North West 10K Committee Chairperson, Grace Boyle, revealed that since the inception of the race in 1997 over €600,000 has been collected and spent in Donegal.

“It’s really, really important that people know that the money collected stays in the county,” Grace declared.

Grace paid tribute to the committee members she’s worked so well with over the years.

“I’m involved in a few things, but this is the top committee. Everyone just gets on with things, does their own task and help each other. I couldn’t praise them enough,” she said.
