350 homes without power in south Donegal - storm advice for consumers

Electricity Ireland has confirmed that 350 homes in the Ballyshannon and Bundoran areas are currently without power.

A spokesperson for the company said outages were first reported at around 10am this morning.

Crews are working to restore power, but with more weather forecast, including strong winds, thunder, hail and snow, more power cuts may be on the way.

The spokesperson advised the public to:

- Turn off all appliances going to bed at night

- Stay clear of falling or trailing electricity wires

- Check on neighbours, especially in remote areas, and

- Take extra care on roads, watching out for falling wires, trees and branches.
