10 years of Cabaret at Harvey's Point!

As Harvey's Point dinner cabaret enters its 10th season, the host for the evening Eamon Gillespie has secured a very impressive line up of acts once again. And this week he welcomed one and all to the beautiful surroundings of the Gourmet Suite for a superb candle lit dinner and a full night's entertainment.

The cabaret is the premier midweek social event of the North West attracting people from all over, even as far away as Canada, United States and Australia to come and enjoy dinner and a full line up of acts such as

Jimmy Buckley, comedian Gene Fitzpatrick, the cute 10 year old Cealan McDermott from Derry who sang Freddie Mercury numbers, Vladimir Jabokov and his Slovak entertainers, Kathy Durcan, Dave Lawlor and Harvey’s Points own ‘Lord and Lady of the dance, Raymond Sweeney and Sarah Lennon. All these acts were backed by the popular Blue Stack Ensemble who has been with the cabaret from the start.

Many people were celebrating their birthdays as well as anniversaries and were presented with cakes and chocolates. (I let on it was my birthday to get a box). The host for the night the one and only Eamonn Gillespie warmed up the crowd with a selection of melodies with the help of the audience. This was followed by the guest artists. I have to say for me Jimmy Buckley the man from Galway and Ireland’s biggest Country Star stole the show, he got everyone on their feet finishing off the night.

Thanks to Eamonn and his team for their warm hospitality as ever.
