Lifestart Lifford/Letterkenny: The Annual General Meeting of Lifestart Lifford/Letterkenny takes place on Tuesday, 14th October in the Lifestart Lifford office (behind the cinema in Lifford) from 7.30pm - 9pm.

Badminton Club: The Three Rivers Junior badminton club has now returned to training each Friday in the Community Centre, Lifford. Split into adults and children sections, 6 to 8 year old lessons are from 6.30 to 7.30 pm.
Thursday nights lessons are for adults at the Oaktree Centre, Killygordon from 8 to 10 pm. Qualified coaches are on hand to offer beginners the top tips and welcome anyone who wishes to return to the sport.
Women’s Club: The Three Rivers Women’s Club started in February this year and with a short break for the summer has now resumed.
The cross border new woman’s club is a friendly group who meet for two hours once a fortnight.
The group consists of women of all ages and everyones input and opinions are greeted with respect. They have a number of activities planned from now until christmas and even into 2009.

Sympathy: The death has taken place of John Paul Giblin, 2 Coneyburrow Road, Lifford who passed away after a short illness.
A native of Lissavruggy, Ballygar, County Galway, who moved to Lifford and made the town his home after gaining employment with the Department of Customs.
A large turnout at the wake home and at the funeral itself showed how highly he was regarded by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Margaret, daughters Susan, Josephine, Helena, Deirdre, Treasa, Regina and son Michael, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was laid to rest in Murlog cemetery on Thursday morning following requiem mass at Saint Patricks Church, Murlog.
Library Events: Lifford Community Library at The Diamond will once again offer some fun with an educational content for our younger readers.
A new under-5s sessions of rhyme time with stories suitable for younger minds will be held at Lifford Library starting on Friday, 3 October from 11 am to 12 noon.
All are very welcome to attend with admission free. A pilot scheme will run until Christmas, please contact Ciara or Jane at the Library directly on (074) 9172726 during normal opening hours Monday to Friday.
Parish Envelopes: The new parish envelopes for 2008/09 will begin on the first Sunday of October. Remember that you are invited to contribute to the running and upkeep of the parish by joining the Planned Giving Scheme. Fashion Show: A celebrity charity fashion show will be held in Kee’s Hotel, Stranorlar on Thursday, 16 October at 8 pm.
The doors will open at 7.30 pm on the evening in question for all the early fashion followers. All proceeds from the event will go directly to Lifford Hospital Day Unit.
A host of celebrity models will be taking part from the world of sport, music and of course there will be a few well kept surprises.
Tickets are now available priced at 10 euro or 8 streling and are avilable from Lifford Hospital, Lifford Health Centre or Castlefin Health Centre or you can pay at the door on the evening.

The Carers Developemnt Officer, Diane Donnolly will be holding a number of drop-in-clinics in the Community Hospitals on Monday, 29 September at Carrndonagh Community Hospital, Tuesday, 30 September at Buncrana Nursing Unit. Both clinics are free and will commence at 12 noon to 2 pm daily.
Shotokan Karate Club: The Three Rivers Shotokan Karate Club hold their popular classes in the Lifford/Clonleigh Resource Centre. All classes are under the supervision and guidance of fully qualified instructors. White and Orange belts training is on Mondays from 6.30 to 7.30 pm, Wednesday from 6.30 to 7.30 pm. Red belt and Senior belt training is on Monday 7.30 to 8.30 pm, Wednesday 7.30 to 8.30 pm.
The cost is 4 euro per person, 6 euro per family of two members, 8 euro per family of three members and 10 euro per four or more family members.
They welcome new members as long as they have reached their sixth birthday or older.
Deele Harps: The under-8's training sessions are held on Mondays at the astro turf pitch from 6 to 7 pm. The under-12's are on Tuesdays for a trial period from 6 to 7 pm.
The under-16's lost their game on Saturday to Ballybofey United. They now go on to play Curragh Athletic with the venue being Killygordon.
The seniors played at home in the F.A.I Junior Cup playing Culdaff F.C. The final scoreline reading 3-1 with the home goal coming from Mark Carlin making his debut for the club.
Training for the under-16's squad and Senior squad with all players to contact their respective team managers as soon as possible. The clubs management, players and supporters offer their deepest sympathies to the Giblin family and McNamee family on their recent bereavements.
Naomh Padraig Club: Training for senior players is on Thursdays at 7.30 pm. Ladies training is on Tuesday at 7 pm and at the Gaelic Pitch on Thursday. Under-13, Under-14 and Under-15 training sessions is on Saturday at 12 noon and Mondays at 6.30 pm. Lifford Under-13's will play Glenfin with the time and venue to be confirmed .
There was no outright winner of the clubs weekly lotto jackpot, however five lucky punters did mange to "match 3" numbers. The numbers drwan were 3, 16, 17 and 25. The winners were Ronan Kelly, Braide, Ciara Friel, Guystown, Rita Gibbons, Tironeill, John Mahon senior, Ballyduff and Gareth Devenney, Castlefin.
Next weeks jackpot now stands at 1,500 euro with the draw to be held each Monday at the clubhouse.
