FRIDAY, 11th November

Bundoran Bord Na nOg Social Night

Underage Fundraiser on Friday 11th November. Music and supper at McGarrigles Oyster Bar, Main St. Bundoran – 9pm. Music on the supplied by Johnny Gallagher & The Boxtie Band plus various special guests.  Supper and loads of spot prizes on the night. Tickets are just €10 and can be obtained from John McEniff or Michael McMahon. Please support this main fundraiser towards the promotion of underage Gaelic football in Bundoran. Tickets on sale now @ €10.

Letterkenny One Act Drama Festival

An Grianan Theatre, Letterkenny hosts the Letterkenny One Act Festival which continues tonight  with Bangor Drama Group, No Drama Theatre, Dublin and Glenmaddy Players.

Curtain is at 7.30pm on Friday. 

Tickets for the festival are €8 per night (€6 concession). If you plan on going all three nights you can save yourself some cash by becoming a Festival Friend. Festival Friend membership is €15 and entitles you to a free ticket for each night of the festival. Both memberships and tickets for individual nights can be purchased from the box office in An Grianan – ring 0749120777.  

Manorhamilton One Act Drama Festival

Manorhamilton will host the highly regarded annual Glens Centre’s One Act Drama Festival on this Friday night November 11, on Saturday night November 12 and on Sunday night November 13 with performances starting at 8pm each night.

Friday night’s performances will feature the Cilleoyew Tree Drama Group with “Brenton V Brenton,” Carrigallen’s Corn Mill Theatre with “Tom Clarke’s One True Love” and Cavan’s Mullagh Millrace Drama Group with “Wish You Were Here.”

Saturday night’s groups and plays include Maynooth’s An Nuadha Players with “Breathing Lessons,” Bailieborough Drama Group with “The Sacred Heart’s Right Hand Man” and Galway’s Dunmore Amateur Dramatic Society with “What Would You Do If You Sang Out Of Tune.”

Sunday night’s performances will feature Kildare’s Prosperous Dramatic Society with “Bull,” Cork’s Gunpowder Productions with “Pizzazz” and Carrick-on-Shannon’s Breffni Players with “Lucy in the Sky.”

Jude Johnstone at RCC, Letterkenny

Award-winning American singer-songwriter Jude Johnstone plays the RCC tonight, Friday November 11th. Writer of the title track to Johnny Cash's Grammy winning album ‘Unchained’, Jude’s songs have been covered by Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Stevie Nicks, Trisha Yearwood and many more.

SATURDAY, 12th November

Donal Reid book signing in Letterkenny

The first in a series of book signings for Donal Reid's new autobiography will take place this weekend in Letterkenny. The book, 'Confessions of a Gaelic Footballer', has generated much interest since it was launched in the Abbey Hotel, Donegal Town three weeks ago. Sales have been going extremely and with all proceeds from the sale going to Pieta House, there have been a number of requests for book signings.

The first of those will take place this Saturday at Dry Arch Centre, Letterkenny, with Donal present from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Ladies Charity Head Shave

Four friends and work colleagues from Letterkenny University Hospital are coming together for a Charity Head Shave. Stephanie McCole, Debbie Houston, Kerrie Duffy and Sonia Ni Garbhaigh are losing their locks for three great charities: Donegal Hospice; Pieta House and the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland. The big event will take place in Arena 7 on Saturday, November 12th at 9pm. Please try to sponsor the girls and support these worthy causes.

An Grianan Theatre, Letterkenny hosts the final night of the  Letterkenny One Act Festival with Corn Mill Theatre Group, Leitrim, Lucan Drama Group and Gunpowder Productions from Cork.

Curtain is at 7.00pm tonight, Saturday – that’s to allow for adjudication and presentation of awards.

Best of the Musicals, Bundoran

A show featuring Ann Jennings, Soprano, Bel Canto  and Cor Craobhaigh will be held in The Great Northern Hotel, Bundoran on Saturday 12th November at 8pm.  

MONDAY, 14th November

Charity Variety Concert in Ballybofey

A Charity Variety Concert will be held on Monday 14th November in the Villa Rose, Ballybofey commencing at 8pm. The concert is in aid of The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Ozanam Holiday Centre, Mornington. MC for the night will be Fergus Cleary. The concert will feature Letterkenny Senior Accordion Band, Smith McCarron School of Irish Dancing, and Comedy Sketches by local artists and Graham Bell. Tickets are €10 or pay at the door.   

TUESDAY, November 15th

Paul Holian Recovery Fund Event

An Aloe Vera, Health, Beauty and Weight Management Evening in aid of the Paul Holian Recovery Fund will take place on Tuesday the 15th of November at 8pm in Kelly’s Roadside Diner, Mountain Top. For further information please contact Patrick on 086-082 6360. Everyone is very welcome.
