Bakery Cup finals this Sunday

The famous Bakery Cup in Ballyshannon has its conclusion for 2016 this weekend with the semi-finals and finals.

They are due to take place on Sunday at Fr. Tierney Park, getting underway at 11 a.m. with teams captained by Eugene Doherty, Senan Rooney, Shane Brady and Mark McGlynn, who will battle it out for this historic piece of silverware.

The Bakery Cup has been a central part of the GAA underage in Ballyshannon for over 60 years.

Pictured below are the winners from 50 years ago and any members of that team that are around are asked to come up to the park on Sunday for the finals.
