Bread and Roses Theatre Company’s pioneering new production ‘Waving, Not Drowning, The Mental Health Roadshow’ is an imaginative attempt to address the issues around depression, mental health and suicide in Ireland.
A montage of original short plays, sketches and songs, this exuberant theatrical experiment will premiere at An Grianan Theatre Wednesday, November 23 at 8 pm.
Initiated by Mark McCollum, Tanya McLaughlin and Kathleen McCreery, the project began last January. Ten writers and actors were chosen to attend weekly workshops.
The show comes from the same company which produced last year's hit production of Dario Fo's 'Can't Pay? Won't Pay!' After intensive research, the team developed this incisive yet witty and entertaining show.
Tickets are €12/10 with discounts for groups of ten or more.
With support from Donegal County Council, the show is set to tour the county from January to March. If you'd like it to visit your area, ring Tanya on 083 150 7030.
