Danny's last day with An Post

Danny Mailey is congratulated on his last day of service by postman Mark Nee. Danny retired from An Post after 42 years on Friday last.

It was the end of an era in Letterkenny Post Office on Friday where Danny Mailey completed his last day of service.

Danny, a native of Convoy, had worked with An Post for 42 years.

A popular member of staff, Danny, who lives in Letterkenny, is well known in sporting circles and was a talented GAA and soccer player.

He played with his native Convoy GAA club and in more recent years, coached at underage level with St. Eunan's GAA club. Danny also played for many seasons with Bonagee United as well as Letterkenny Rovers.

Married to Margaret, they have three children, Denise, Barry and Rachel.

We wish Danny all the very best on his retirement.
