Lotto luck for newly weds

A couple who were visiting Donegal to get married recently enjoyed a “lotto luck” when they scooped the top prize the the areas local GAA club draw.

James Craig and his bride Gillian, both from the Scotland, travelled to Donegal to get married in Dunfanaghy recently.

Following their big day they were enjoying a night out in Dunfanaghy village with friends when James purchased a €5 “quick pick” lotto ticket from St Michael’s Club chairman, Liam McElhinney, in Patsy Dan’s Bar.

During the clubs draw last weekend James’s numbers came up trumps and he scooped the €2,650 jackpot.

He was presented with his winning cheque by St Michaels Club officials, Mary Lanagan, Brian Dolan, Mary Boyle and club PRO Moses Alcorn at a function in the Oyster Bar in the village.
