Three second half goals was enough to see St. Eunan’s into the final after overcoming Naomh Conaill in Ballybofey.
St. Eunan’s 3-9
Naomh Conaill 0-9
The first half was very even with Donnacha Gallagher had the first two frees but Naomh Conaill led 0-6 to 0-3 as half-time approached with Johnny McLoone to the fore.
But in the last minutes Gallagher again hit two frees to leave just a point in it at the break, Naomh Conaill 0-6, St. Eunan’s 0-5.
An incident in the tunnel at half-time seemed to spur on the Letterkenny men and goals by Brendan Maguire, Conor Moore and Daire McMonagle left them easy winners in the end.
They can also thank ‘keeper Blake Forkan for a great save from Joe Kennedy when the game was in the balance.
