Second man charged in court following Letterkenny arson attack

A second man has appeared in court charged in connection with a fire in Letterkenny that is estimated to have caused €500,000 of damage.

Nine cars were destroyed in the fire at a car park under an apartment complex at Rosemount Lane in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Owen McFadden, aged 40, of Falcarragh, appeared before a special sitting of Sligo District Court this morning, on ten charges arising from the incident.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Letterkenny District Court on Monday.

Paul McGinley of Glen Hola, Gortahork appeared at a special sitting of Letterkenny District Court on Friday, also facing ten charges connected to the incident.

He was also remanded in custody to Letterkenny District Court on Monday.
