Donegal death notices for Friday, September 23rd

The following local deaths have occurred:

 

Mary Burke, née Lynch, Templeogue, Dublin and formerly of Monellan, Crossroads, Killygordon

The death has taken place, on Thursday at Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross, Dublin of Mary Burke, née Lynch, of Templeogue and formerly of Monellan, Crossroads, Killygordon.


Remains reposing at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, Templeogue on Saturday and Sunday, 2pm to 4pm, with prayers on Sunday at 3.30pm. House private, please. Removal on Monday for funeral mass at 11am in St Colmcille's Church, Knocklyon, followed by interment in Mount Jerome Cemetery, Harold's Cross. Family flowers, donations, if desired to Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross.

 

Susan Gillen, Meeenletterbell, Leckmey, Moville

Reposing at Carndonagh Community Hospital Chapel of Rest, with viewing this Thursday afternoon, 22nd September, from 2pm to 4pm.

Removal at 11am today to the residence of her nephew James Gillen, Malin Road, Moville.

Removal on Saturday, 24th September, at 10.30am for 11am Requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Ballinacrea followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

 

Patrick Hilley, Dromadoney, Donegal Town and formerly of Dublin and Fermanagh

The death has taken place, on Monday at his home in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, of Patrick Hilley, Dromadoney, Donegal Town, Donegal and formerly of Dublin and Fermanagh.

Remains Reposing at the family home in Drumadoney, Donegal Town from 5pm on Saturday evening. Removal from there at 10am on Sunday  to St. Agatha's Church, Clar for funeral mass at 10.30am, with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private on Sunday morning please.

 

Hugh Patrick (Paddy) Laverty, Drumboe, Stranorlar

The death has taken place, peacefully at his home on Wednesday, of Hugh Patrick (Paddy) Laverty, Drumboe, Stranorlar.

Remains reposing at his home, house private 11pm to 10am. Removal from there at 1.20pm on Saturday for funeral mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate at 2pm, followed by burial in Drumboe Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers please, if desired, to Cancer Society of Ireland care of any family member. 

Madge McLaughlin, High Glen, Carrigart

The death has taken place of Madge McLaughlin, High Glen, Carrigart. Remains reposing at the home of Michael and Noreen Mc Laughlin, High Glen, Carrigart. House private 11pm to 10am. Removal this  morning for funeral mass at 11am in the Church of St. John the Baptist, Carrigart for Requiem Mass, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the MS Society.
 
 
Grace Browne, Meenticat, Drumkeen

The death has occurred of Grace Browne of Meenticat, Drumkeen.

Removal from her late residence on Saturday at 10.15am to St. Patrick’s Church, Drumkeen, for 11am funeral mass.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Donegal Hospice.

 


Gemma Doherty (née Catterson), Kilcar and Castlefin

The death has occurred  at Killybegs Community Hospital of Gemma Doherty (née Catterson) of Ballymacfadden, Kilcar and Gortnamuck, Castlefin.

Reposing at the home of her niece, Josephine and Plunkett Connolly, 14, Laughtfoggy Road, Castlederg.

Removal at 10am today for Requiem Mass at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, Castlefin.

Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Castlefin.

 


Maria Wallis, Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Maria Wallis, 78 Blue Cedars, Ballybofey.

Beloved wife of David and much loved mother of David, Darren, and Andrew, dearly loved daughter of Mary, cherished brother of Mark and Michael.

Remains reposing at the home of her mother, Mary McGonigle, 87 Blue Cedars, Ballybofey.

Funeral leaving her home at 10.15am on Saturday, for 11am Requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar followed by interment in Drumboe cemetery.

 


Patrick (Pat) Hegarty, Fairview, Dublin and Letterkenny

The sudden death has taken place, last Saturday at his home, of Patrick (Pat) Hegarty, Fairview, Dublin and Letterkenny. Remains reposing at Stafford's Funeral Home, North Strand, Fairview, 5pm-7pm.

Removal on Friday morning to the Church of the Visitation, Fairview Strand for funeral mass at 10am, followed by burial in St. Fintan's Cemetery, Sutton. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Highfield Hospital, Swords Road.
