Colin McKee is one of the country’s brightest young chefs.
A recent overall supreme winner at the Taste of Donegal, Colin is presently the Senior Sous Chef at Harvey’s Point with specific responsibility for the design and delivery of the high end dining concept in the lakeside restaurant for which the hotel is renowned.
It is a long way from the Wash-Up in The Central Hotel where Colin started his hotel career. He was a kitchen porter for four years before he was spotted showing an interest in cooking, by the Head Chef.
Indeed that same Chef was instrumental in getting Colin off to the famous College for Culinary Art in Killybegs to develop his career and love of cooking.
Colin’s career has gone from strength to strength adding to the enhanced reputation of Donegal’s good food circle.
