Supporters attending last night's SSE Airtricity Premier Division game at Finn Park between Finn Harps and Wexford Youths observed a minute's silence in memory of the five young people from who died in the two fatal accidents this week close to Letterkenny.

Fans, players and officials stood in silence prior to kick-off in tribute to those who had lost their lives.

The stadium announcer also urged young people at the game to take care on our roads and to always wear a seat belt.

Dermot Boyle, 19; Barney McGinley, 28; Stephen McCafferty, 19; Theresa Robinson, 20; and

Kaylam Ó Murachaidh, 19; were killed in two separate head-on collisions last Wednesday and Thursday.

Their funerals will take place today and tomorrow.
